Sanders and Sanders of Northamptonshire are the only factory able to make the iconic suede chukka boots favoured by Steve McQueen. Known as the ‘King of Cool’ McQueen not only wore the ‘Playboy’ chukka boots in such classic films as The Thomas Crown Affair and Bullitt but also in his personal life.  These quite distinctive chukka boots featured a thick crepe sole and it is only Sanders and Sanders who have the original machinery and lasts to make this exact same boot. This family owned factory has been making shoes and boots of superb quality since 1873.

Daniel Craig, the James Bond actor, has followed in Steve McQueen’s fashion footsteps by stocking up on the Sanders Hi Top chukka boots for his personal use and has sported a pair in the final scenes of SPECTRE.

What better endorsement for a product can there be than being worn by America’s greatest style icon and Britain’s style ambassador, James Bond.
