Sanders shoemakers is one of the hidden gems of the Northamptonshire shoe industry. They may be one of the less well known Northamptonshire factories but in our opinion they make some of the finest shoes made in England today. Some other factories have resorted to having their shoes partially made overseas but not Sanders shoes. And their premium range, the Sanders Diplomat collection, certainly rivals anything from the likes of Church’s and Crockett & Jones.
At Bradshaw & Lloyd we particularly like the boots that Sanders make. The last shapes are excellent and they don’t skimp on the less obvious components of really good quality thick leather linings and insoles. These two components are essential to the longevity of any item of footwear which will always take a significant beating from the inside through wear abrasion and the corrosive effects of perspiration if not allowed to dry out well between outings.
