The Chelsea boot has continued as a fashion and style statement since the 1960s and has never been more popular than it is today, in its many guises. There is certainly no shortage of cheap versions to choose from in the high street but Loake and Sanders are offering a number of versions of superb quality to die for.

Starting at £165 the Loake Hutchinson is available in black and brown calf. The Loake Mitchum at £170 is available in black polished leather and brown suede. The Loake Chatsworth at £175 has a superb brown waxy leather upper. The Loake 290 at £170 has a black polished leather upper. At £175 the Loake Newbury is a little heavier and has a tan burnished calf upper with toecap. The Loake Blenheim also at £175 has a brown waxy leather upper and Dainite rubber soles. The Loake Petworth at the same price is available in both black and brown leather with a traditional stitched sole at £175.00. Also at £175 the Loake Blenheim has Dainite soles and is made on the 010 last.
For rather more money at £215 and on the slightly heavier side Sanders produce the Thirsk boot in both black and brown leather with a traditionally goodyear welted leather sole. For better grip and wear the Towcester version has goodyear welted Dainite ribber soles. These boots are made on Sanders’ Stet last which offers a generous G width fitting.
