With a wide range of styles it is easy to get confused and overwhelmed by Loake’s various collections. But that’s what I’m here for, today I shall deep dive into every Loake range and explain their reasoning’s behind each.
1880 Classic and Country
Regarded as one of the best value collections for Goodyear welted footwear in the world. Loake’s 1880 range is vast and varied. Operating on a slightly higher level of sophistication to the more affordable ranges by Loake. The 1880 range is made in England at Loake’s Northamptonshire factory that has been running since the year 1880. All the styles are fully leather lined and Goodyear welted to offer maximum comfort. Made using the finest leathers to ensure a beautiful shoe that will age wonderfully if cared for. The classic range is exactly that, traditional classic styles. From Oxfords to Derbys, Chelsea boots and Loafers. The 1880 Classic range encompasses styles that have stood the test of time.
The 1880 Country collection is made to the same exacting standard as the Classic but produces footwear, as it suggests, with a more country design. Heavy boots and shoes for country walks with hardy soles and often storm welts for added weather resistant properties.
Professional
The Loake Professional collection is exactly that, styles made to compliment the more formal requirements of the businessman. With an assortment of footwear all designed in the UK and either made in the UK or Loake’s factory in India. The Professional collection has styles consisting of; Oxfords, Derbys, loafers and moccasins. Don’t for one second think that there is any less care and attention that goes into producing the Professional Collection, Loake simply raise the bar ever further and apply some finer, more traditional, touches to the 1880 Collection.
Design
The designers at Loake are always striving to add styles into the range that are more contemporary and inspirational. Whilst maintaining the high standards of craftsmanship, hand-finishing and quality of materials used, the Design collection offers up-to-date and contemporary styling that enhance any occasion or simply day-to-day use.
