Founded by Arnold Wills in 1946, in the heart of rural Britain The British Belt Company has been honing the art of belt-making for generations. Situated in the small market town of Uppingham, Rutland. Arnold Wills, with a passion for centuries-old, traditional leather craft, quickly built a reputation creating premium leather products. The workers of the factory consist of local artisans with a commitment and passion for leather-work.

To this day, this side of the business continues to thrive, crafting leather belts and small leather goods for a variety of household names. Very few leather brands actually make their own items, either sourcing from third-party suppliers abroad or by contracted factories in the UK.
