With the snowy season upon us and due to stay I thought it was a good time to talk about one of our more popular country boots. The fantastically versatile Loake Bedale.
As part of the Loake 1880 collection the quality of these boots is what you’d expect from a premium collection. The Bedale is a stunning six eyelet brogue boot. Goodyear welted onto ‘Victory’ rubber soles for greater longevity and grip. Also featuring a storm welt for added weather resistance. Available in a variety of options including; brown calf, tan calf, black calf, oxblood grain and dark brown waxed suede. The Bedale is a boot that is truly versatile. For example they can either be worn formally in black calf with a pair of smart trousers or go casual in tan calf or brown waxed suede with a pair of jeans or chinos.
Made on the Pennine last which offers a generous G fitting and a bold toe shape. The G fit also allows for extra thick socks to be worn on those bitterly cold days. However, if you normally take a regular F fitting then I advise you may find a half size reduction to be necessary in order to obtain the right fit.
