Trickers really is the oldest shoe maker in England. In the very same year of 1829 when England saw her first uniformed police service, under Robert Peel, Joseph Tricker founded R.E. Tricker. As with so many great companies Trickers has remained throughout subsequent years a family owned and run business. This seems to be the formula for a business to continue successfully in the long term. No short term fast buck-making decisions are made to please shareholders. Instead a long term investment plan can be made to ensure a successful brand can continue to produce a product to suit demand. And there is certainly no shortage of demand for the fabulous shoes and boots which Trickers continues to produce in its St Michael’s Road factory in Northampton.

There are three distinct collections in the Trickers catalogue. The 1829 and Jermyn Street collections offer the ultimate in hand crafted formal shoes. The Country collection provides the very height of quality in terms of heavier country shoes and boots for rural pursuits. All these shoes and boots have one unifying factor in common: they are built to last. People genuinely do pass their prized Trickers shoes and boots onto their offspring.
At Bradshaw & Lloyd we offer the entire range of the stylish 1829 collection and also the most popular styles from the Trickers Country collection. We include a pair of Trickers fully lasted shoe trees with all Trickers shoes and boots.
