We are pleased to announce we are broadening our range of Tricker’s shoes on our website.
History
The immensely popular brand was founded by Joseph Tricker in 1829. Joseph, age 19 was already a master shoemaker when he started his business. To put that historical date into perspective that same year saw Robert Peel establish London’s first uniformed police force, whilst in America, Abraham Lincoln gave his first political speech.
Manufacturing
The current Tricker’s factory is located at 56-60 St. Michael’s Rd, Northampton and first opened its doors in 1904. The same factory is still the base for all manufacturing today, proudly 100% made in Northampton. Whilst manufacturing processes have changed over time, the craftsmen and women continue to follow traditional techniques.
Quality
Tricker’s shoes and boots are made on lasts and made to last. Looked after properly, there’s no reason why a pair of Tricker’s shouldn’t last you a lifetime. This is thanks to the incredible care and attention lavished on every shoe or boot by craftsmen and women in Northampton – the traditional home of English shoemaking. Every single pair of Tricker’s boots or shoes is the result of 260 individual processes. All of them are carried out by master shoemakers who have learned their trade over many years.
Our range
Our current Tricker’s range ranges from Oxford brogues, great for weddings or the office to heavy country brogues and loafers. But keep an eye out because we will be adding new styles daily!
Please note, we are presently only dispatching Tricker’s within the UK.
