Which Loakes shoes for the summer.

By May 3, 2016August 7th, 2021No Comments

Loakes have come up with a range of exciting styles for the summer.

Driving shoes:

Known as driving shoes with their stud rubber soles these superbly flexible moccasins make a great beach shoe.  The Loakes Donington and Herbert are available in a range of five exciting suedes: tan, dark brown, red, grey and navy.  And at a good price for under £100.

Deck shoes:

For a classic deck shoe but made to Loakes exacting quality standards there are the 521, 524 and 528 styles.  Most of these do come with a darker sole if you are averse to the traditional white yachtsman’s rubber sole.

Moccasins:

My favourite moccasin has to be the new Nicholson loafer with its contrasting stitching.  Simply a great summer loafer worn either with or without socks.  Available in black suede with orange stitching. Navy suede with blue stitching and brown suede with red stitching.  These shoes have a proper stitched leather sole with a rubber forepart for enhanced traction and durability.

Do pop into the B&L Hurstpierpoint store if you can where we try and maintain stocks of the most popular Loakes shoes in all sizes.
